Carrefour is to open a 110,000 sq ft hypermarket in the capital, Yerevan, next month.

It will be operated by Carrefour’s Middle Eastern franchisee, Majid Al Futtaim Holding, and be in the Tashir Group-owned Dalma Garden Mall, the country’s largest shopping centre.

Last September, rival Auchan was reported to be planning large investment projects in Yerevan.
