Castlepoint, the 60,000 sq m redevelopment of the former Hampshire Centre on the outskirts of Bournemouth in Dorset, is 80 per cent pre-let following five new lettings.
Suits Direct has taken 465 sq m, All:sports 600 sq m, Hargreaves Sports 370 sq m, Argos 1,300 sq m and Birthdays 270 sq m.
Castlepoint is the largest shopping park under construction in the UK and will be anchored by four main stores pre-let to Marks & Spencer in 12,000 sq m, Sainsbury's in 9,000 sq m, Asda in 8,500 sq m and a 10,000 sq m B&Q Warehouse. Smaller stores have been taken by Next, Boots, Gap and WHSmith.
The shopping centre is on target to open in the autumn of next year.
A further 6,000 sq m is under offer, with only 5,000 sq m available through joint agents CB Hillier Parker and Harvey Spack Field.
Castlepoint is a joint venture between Standard Life Investments, Castlemore Securities and Threadneedle Investment Properties.
