Pull and Bear’s single-floor 6,940 sq ft store, which has a mezzanine, follows the format already present across the rest of Europe. After its Liverpool trial, Pull and Bear will make its London debut on Oxford Street next year.
Pull & Bear is located at new shopping scheme Liverpool One, alongside sister brands Zara – which has relocated in the city to a 20,020 sq ft store – and Zara Home, with its first UK store outside London.
Inditex UK and Ireland managing director Stefano Sutter said: “This is our 100th UK and Ireland store and Liverpool is a fantastic opportunity for us to see what will happen when we open the store on Oxford Street next year.”
After Zara, Pull and Bear is Inditex’s largest brand, with 539 stores globally. Its opening leaves just two of its brands to make their UK debut – fashion chain Stradivarius and lingerie fascia Oysho.
Pull and Bear forms part of the opening of the first phase of Liverpool One, which launched yesterday with 45 shops, including two anchors – John Lewis and Debenhams.
The Debenhams store features several new elements, including a revamped homewares section designed in collaboration with London design consultancy 20/20. The remodelled homewares space groups branded products that would traditionally be merchandised in different category areas, with the aim of creating a lifestyle environment.
Other stores to open yesterday include retail guru George Davies’ S’Porter Liverpool FC store. The two-floor 13,000 sq ft shop claims to be Europe’s largest football-related shop.
