Two more stores will open before the end of the year, one in Bristol’s Cabot Circus and another in the Northwest by October.
A-Wear chief executive Annmarie Flood said: “Many UK shoppers already know and love the brand, shopping at A-Wear when they are in Ireland. We are committed to delivering not only a desirable product but also quality and affordability.”
A-Wear said it will be bringing its new store format, which it tested in the Pavilion shopping centre in Swords, County Dublin, to its UK stores. It says that the new look mixes boutique elements with a more urban feel.
A-Wear will launch a transactional web site in the UK on November 1.
A-Wear is a prominent young fashion chain in Ireland with 25 stores across the country and two in Northern Ireland. It was bought by private equity firm Alchemy Partners for €75 million (£59.4 million) in May last year.
Last year, the retailer achieved sales of €64 million (£50.6 million) with an EBITDA of €10.5 million (£8.3 million).
