Accessorize, the accessories chain owned by Monsoon Accessorize, has launched a standalone website.
Accessorize had previously shared its online site with sister chain,Monsoon.
The launch followed the appointment of former Fat Face director Kristine Kirby as ecommerce and multichannel marketing director in July. As well as spearheading the launch of standalone sites for Accessorize and womenswear chain Monsoon, Kirby is also set to launch overseas sites for both chains.
accessorize.com features a PayPal check out service, ratings and reviews and will feature a blog, look books and behind the scenes videos.
It stocks all of the chain’s stock and delivery costs are £2.95 per order. The site delivers to 13 European countries, and the US. The site currently offers free delivery for two weeks as part of its launch plans.
Accessorize founder Peter Simon said: “We are delighted to launch Accessorize.com as an independent site to our current ecommerce platform - Monsoon.co.uk. With over 3000 products available to buy online, the new site is an integral part of our continued global growth.”
Accessorize has 1,025 stores trading in 61 countries worldwide. The retailer is also rolling out a store expansion plan in the US which began this year with three openings in the Washington DC area. Three more stores are planned to open in New York over the next two months.
