Restructuring specialist now involved in department store chain's fortunes
The acquisition of Allders' debt yesterday has prompted speculation that the ailing department store chain may go into administration, as it has emerged that the deal will be headed by retail restructuring experts Hilco.
Hilco put menswear retailer Ciro Citterio into administration only a week after buying it in September 2003.
Hilco is heading a debt purchase deal on behalf of Monaco-based group Epsilon Investments.
