The bonuses will go to employees who have been working for the supermarket chain over six months.
Since the scheme was introduced in 2000 - after Asda became part of Wal-Mart - it has paid out more than£85 million in bonuses.
The average annual bonus payout for a full-time worker is£174, but many are in line for much more.
Asda chief executive Andy Bond said: 'It's the hard work and enthusiasm of our colleagues that has made the business such a success this year and helped us win over so many new customers. It's great to be able to share the rewards with them.'
Asda has 335 stores and 24 depots throughout the UK and Northern Ireland.
