Asda will open a further five Asda Living stores across the UK this year, bringing its total to 21.
The openings will bring the sales floor space devoted to Asda Living, which offers clothing, homeware and entertainment products, to 200,000sq ft.
The openings are in Bristol’s Eastgate Retail Park, Chester’s Broughton Shopping Park, Llantrisant Glamorgan Vale Retail Park, Teesside Retail Park and in Wrexham at the Island Green shopping park.
Asda Living first launched in 2004. Asda has opened stores in Manchester, Newport and Stratford-upon-Avon this year.
Asda Living head of acquisitions John Hudson said: “Our expansion plans for Asda Living are on track, which is great news for Asda customers and retail park landlords.
The pressures on family budgets are increasing each month. Asda Living stores are attracting people to retail parks because the stores provide them with access to a wide range of quality products at Asda’s unbeatable prices.”
