Asos international director Jon Kamaluddin is to exit after nine years with the online retailer.
Kamaluddin, who joined Asos in 2004 when it had annual group sales of £8m, will leave in December and will step down from its board in October. A search is currently underway for his replacement.
Kamaluddin, who moved up to international director in 2009 from finance director, has helped grow Asos’ overseas sales to almost 60% of its overall sales.
International sales soared 39% to £214.7m in its half year to February 28. The growth is only set to continue as the etailer is set to launch in China and Russia by the end of the year.
Asos chief executive Nick Robertson said: “Jon has played a significant role in the development of Asos over the last nine years. Personally and on behalf of all of us at Asos I want to thank him for his outstanding contribution to our success and wish him well in the future.”
Last October he, along with the rest of the Asos top team, sold £6.6m of shares he was awarded as part of a long-term incentive plan.
