Asos has reported a 47% first-half increase in sales, with profits “marginally ahead” of last year.
International sales have continued to soar for the etailer up 110%, representing 25% of its total sales for six months to September 30. Asos now ships to 114 countries worldwide.
It said it viewed the outlook for the full year “with confidence”.
The etailer now has 1.2m active customers compared to 890,000 at the same period last year.
Asos said that the highlights of the last half included the introduction of Gap and Mango to its site, both major international brands who do not currently have their own UK ecommerce offer. It has also added a menswear offer to its Outlet and has introduced free returns for its UK customers.
