Clinton Cards group commercial director Barry Hartog is retiring from the board and will leave the retailer at the end of May.

Hartog, 64, joined Clinton Cards in 1991 as group finance director, holding the position for 18 years until 2009.

Don Lewin, chairman, said: “Barry Hartog’s contribution to the board and the company during his 20 years with Clinton Cards has been immense and we express our gratitude to him.  On a personal level, I will be sorry to see Barry leave us but, on behalf of the board, we wish him a very enjoyable and well earned retirement.”
