New chief executive Philip Downer said: “There will be few managers in the business unfamiliar with James. Neil’s retail experience with brands such as Woolworths and Asda will ensure that he brings strong leadership, energy and focus to the marketing team.”
Fitton joins Borders from DisplayPlan, a retail design and consultancy company, where he was strategic development director. Previously, he worked as in-store marketing manager for Woolworths and brand manager at Asda. Sneddon has been Borders regional manager for the past six years.
