Bravissimo is a dynamic multichannel retailer specifically targeting bigger-busted women, compared to other lingerie retailers such as Ann Summers and Boux Avenue. Originally established as a lingerie and swimwear specialist, the retailer has also sold a full range of clothing for curvier women. Launched as a mail-order retailer in 1995, the retailer now operates bricks-and-mortar stores, as well as a its online store, a call centre order service and mail orders. Its first US store opened in summer 2019.

Bravissimo said that in the 2023 financial year ended 31 October 2023 (FY2023) it had “fully recovered” from the impact of the pandemic. Revenues slipped 1.0% to £57.6m, following a12.7% increase the previous year. The retailer said that sales in FY2023 “normalised after the peak trading period of summer 2022 when pent up demand led to customers purchasing swimwear in higher than usual volumes”. Bravissimo’s pre-tax profits improved to £2.5m in FY2023 with a margin of 4.4%.
