Hire-purchase retailer Brighthouse posted double-digit growth for the year, boosted by new store openings.
The retailer said like-for-like sales jumped 11.5 per cent in the 12 months to December 15, with a strong demand for LCD TVs, games consoles and PCs. The group opened seven stores during the year and plans further 20 next year.
Brighthouse retail director Andy Parkinson said: “We are delighted that our focus on customer service has resulted in strong growth in customer numbers and overall business performance, providing a useful platform for continued expansion in 2008.”
