For a fee, shoppers can bring their beauty ointments and potions into the 500 sq ft store and test them on caged rabbits by applying them to their eyes. If the rabbits blink or their eyes water, it is assumed the product contains toxins and the manufacturer is contacted.
Bunny Tears founder Soli Berstein said: “I think this is a great concept and can see up to 10 such stores opening in the city over the next 12 months.”
