Land Securities and Capital Shopping Centres have added a major wave of retailers to the St David’s 2 shopping centre in Cardiff, taking the scheme to nearly 55 per cent let.
Fashion retailers New Look and Slater will join the line up of retailers, as will accessories brands Claire’s, Clarks and Essential. The retailers join brands already signed up for the centre including All Saints, Crew, Reiss and Hugo Boss.
Also signed up for space are jewellery brands Beaverbrooks, Fraser Hart, Goldsmiths and Parkhouse the Jeweller.
Clintons Card, Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone and O2 are also on board in the scheme.
The scheme is due to open this autumn and will be anchored by Wales’s first John Lewis store. The retailer will unveil a 260,000 sq ft department stores in the scheme when it opens later this year, which will be its biggest outside London.
The extension works will take the whole scheme to just under 1.4 million sq ft of retail space and will also bring 304 homes and 3,000 car parking spaces to the centre of Cardiff.
