Sales in the UK and Ireland rose 8.8 per cent, while like-for-likes increased by 3.3 per cent. However, there were signs of slower growth after the first 14 weeks. Allders concessions accounted for 3.1 per cent of the total sales increase.
The retailer's Benelux sales rose 3.6 per cent in local currency, with sales growth slowing after 14 weeks.
In the UK, Carpetright has 365 stores and 39 concessions. From early next year, the retailer will also operate from several Debenhams stores. In the Benelux countries, Carpetright trades from 89 stores.
According to the retailer, gross margins have increased compared with last year. Broker Investec said: 'The benefits from continued roll-out of its concession format should help balance concerns about its core performance.'
