Cine-UK, the country’s fastest expanding cinema operator, has signed up to open a 5-screen multiplex as part of the £45 million Orchard Centre development at Didcot town centre, Oxfordshire.

The 225,000 sq ft (20,900 sq m) scheme, a joint venture between Taylor Woodrow and South Oxfordshire District Council, includes 31 stores, a Sainsbury’s superstore, 500 parking spaces and a public transport interchange.

Sainsbury’s is expected to open in November, with the rest of the scheme opening next spring.
