Claire's parent forces shake-up

Claire's Accessories has made sweeping board-level changes as US parent Claire's Stores Inc takes more hands-on control.

Finance director Mark Robson and human resources director Zareena Syed have both left the company in the past month, it is understood. The retailer declined to comment on the departures.

Robson joined last August, while Syed was appointed in February. Earlier this year, the parent drafted in Roger Esdon from its Canadian division as chief executive to replace Lyle Finlay, who left in January.
