The Co-operative Group has today launched a digital TV channel to showcase its ethical projects.
The Co-operative.tv is an online site containing videos and TV programmes. It is part of Ethical.tv, which is created by ethical publishing company Hands Up Media.
Co-op director of marketing Patrick Allen said: “The amount of interest in The Co-operative since we launched the brand campaign in February has been unprecedented and this initiative is a further demonstration of our leadership position on ethical issues. It will contribute enormously to our increasingly active outreach programme enabling those who want to know more to access a host of information.
“The Co-operative.tv will show our community activity and highlight issues such as fair trade. This will be a great resource that I think will be particularly attractive to schools and colleges that wish to study co-operation as part of the curriculum.”
