Online wedding retailer Confetti has been bought out of administration by a north-west entrepreneur George Buchan.
Buchan has set up a new company, Confetti Celebrations, and the business will continue to trade as Confetti. 34 employees will be kept on and the company will soon move to new premises.
Confetti, based in Oldham, was acquired by online retailer The Hut Group from Findel in early August, but the new owner then placed it into administration just days later.
Kenny Craig, joint administrator at RSM Tenon, said: “We have seen considerable interest in the business in the last few weeks and are delighted to have secured such a successful outcome.”
Buchan has built up a series of IT businesses including JM Computing and Service Source Europe, and he said he plans to invest in Confetti to grow it.
The website will reopen within two weeks.
