As John Lewis slashes its returns policy from 90 days to 35, we take a look at the models of the top 20 UK retailers.
Although John Lewis racked up some column inches following the news that it had reduced its returns policy by more than half last week, the department store retailer remains ahead of the majority of its rivals.

The average returns policy for the top 20 biggest UK retailers is within 30 days, with 35% of retailers offering that timeframe, followed by 30% offering returns within 28 days.
German discounter Aldi offers the most generous returns policy of the top 20 retailers, giving shoppers 60 days to return products.In contrast, Sports Direct was the most stringent of the top 20 retailers, offering customers 14 days to return items.
Iceland does not accept returns unless there is a quality issue with the product as standard, although this could be attributed to the majority of its stock being frozen.
