Halfords unveils its new TV ad campaign tonight which aims to inspire people to love the open road and celebrate the joys of cycling.
The cycles and car part specialist aims to highlight the adventure families can have on the road as part of its Keep On Rollin’ campaign.
The cycling advert, which has been created by ad agency Mother, shows a family cycling to the song ‘Born to be Wild’. As they cycle they transform into Hell’s Angels with each family member growing beards and the landscape turning from the British countryside to the American open road.
It is set to air tonight on ITV in the ad breaks for Law & Order.
The second advert focuses on a car trip.
Halfords head of advertising and digital media Caroline Michel said: “This summer we wanted to create a campaign that celebrated the joys of cycling and driving at their most emotional and aspirational.
“We also wanted something that would create real ‘talkability’, and in this entertaining and engaging creative we feel Mother have really delivered.”
