Sofa retailer ScS has increased its marketing with an ad campaign offering sofas for £10 a month, and upped its ad spend by 25% year on year.
The nine-week campaign across TV and press - offering ScS’s “Top 10” sofas for payment of £10 a month - kicked off last week on ITV. It will also air on Channel 4 and Five and run in selected newspapers.
Chief executive David Knight said: “We’re spending a bit more on ads this year to drive customers in. We’re trading ahead of expectations - very positively against last year.”
The 96-store chain was bought out of administration by private equity firm Sun European Partners in July 2008. It also sponsors TV shows including 60 Minute Makeover.
