Specsavers has revived the much-loved children’s TV character Postman Pat for its latest TV ad campaign to promote its two-for-one offer.
The tongue-in-cheek ad shows Postman Pat breaking his only pair of glasses before setting off on his rounds. His impaired vision causes the friendly postie to drive through walls, knock over signs and accidentally deliver vegetables instead of letters to the people of Greendale. It concludes with PC Arthur Selby using the retailer’s tagline: “Should’ve gone to Specsavers.”
The ad campaign, which launched on Tuesday on ITV during Emmerdale, is supported online where a behind-the-scenes video is available.
