Debenhams has launched its own online box office which allows people to enter their postcode and find local events between one and 25 miles from their home.
Debenhams piloted the service, which allows consumers to search by date, location or category, earlier this month. It is now available to all customers as a click-through from its main website.
The department store chain plans to introduce an app next year and the service will have a Facebook presence.
Customers will receive discounts and exclusive offers on activities such as plays, concerts and spa visits. They will also receive localised newsletters tailored to their area through the service, which was created by experience retailer Activity Superstore.
A Debenhams spokeswoman said: “We see this as a great opportunity to help customers find an inspirational answer to that frequently asked question, ‘what shall we do this weekend?’”
