Some of the world’s biggest beauty brands have taken over the windows at Harrods’ London store as it looks to boost its beauty credentials.
This month Harrods will go on a health and beauty push, serving up customer events and product launches, while 23 windows at the Brompton Road store will present sports-related visual merchandising from 23 beauty brands, with each of them creating giant versions of their hero products.
For instance, inspired by t’ai chi, Harrods’ own brand SK-II has showcased sculpted figures standing under a cherry blossom tree while La Prairie’s window features a snowy mountain with miniature skiers.
Harrods will put on a series of masterclasses, including previews of ranges, consultations with facialists, and will feature the latest beauty devices.
From January 19 to 23, a variety of sportswear brands will host fitness classes, with experts sharing tips and advice on getting fit.
In its food hall Harrods will offer customers samples of its juices, organic teas and coffees while in its cookshop, Vitamix will offer demonstrations.
There will also be health checks available and brands will be showcasing the latest innovations and smart wearable technology.
