Harvey Nichols is already eyeing further locations for Beauty Bazaar, the specialist boutique that will make its debut in Liverpool in November.
The retailer is also introducing beauty product vending machines in its department stores as part of its latest drive into the category.
Harvey Nichols group concessions and beauty director Daniela Rinaldi said Beauty Bazaar is likely to open in more big cities. “We’re looking at locations in Cardiff, Belfast and London and are looking to take it internationally,” Rinaldi said.
This week Harvey Nichols introduced concessionaire BeautyMart at its Knightsbridge store, situated in the young fashion department. The concession features a wide range of products from luxury to basic including dry shampoo, make-up and even tampons.
A BeautyMart vending machine will be installed in Harvey Nichols’ Fifth Floor Knightsbridge restaurant, selling products such as skincare, enabling sales outside normal trading hours. Harvey Nichols plans to roll out the vending machine to other UK stores next year.
The 22,000 sq ft Beauty Bazaar at Liverpool One is in a former Habitat store and will trade from three floors. It includes a hair salon and nail bar as well as services including botox, fillers and teeth whitening. There is also a champagne bar.
