M&S launches athleisure range to woo younger shoppers

Marks & Spencer

Marks & Spencer is rolling out a 150-piece sportswear collection today in a bid to cash in on the booming athleisure market.

The department store retailer has launched its new ‘Goodmove’ womenswear range today across stores and online, The Guardian first reported.

M&S’ latest collection will comprise a range of items but focus primarily on leggings. Leggings ‘experts’ will be available in-store to help shoppers find the right pair for them, with the range spanning from £15 for a basic pair to £45 for sculpting tights.

M&S currently sells one out of every four sports bras sold in the UK and sees scope to expand its reach into the athleisure market, particularly as shoppers are increasingly purchasing items for fashion as much as exercise.
