The Original Factory Shop has drafted in a new finance boss and chief operating officer as the retailer shapes its senior leadership team.
The value department store chain has named former Hornby boss Steve Cooke as chief financial officer, six months after his departure from the model train maker.
Cooke was previously finance boss of LSL Property Services and has held senior roles at Sainsbury’s, Homebase and B&Q during his career.
The Original Factory Shop has also appointed former B&M operations director Carl Allen as chief operating officer as boss Emma Fox moulds her top team.
As previously reported, former Halfords commercial director Fox took the reins at the off-price operator last July.
Fox said the duo “bring impressive backgrounds in retail, which will further add to the team’s commercial experience”.
Cooke said: “The Original Factory Shop is an exciting business with a unique offer and I look forward to supporting Emma and the team to deliver growth from the solid foundations the company has established.”
Allen added: “I am thrilled to join this fantastic business, and together with my colleagues I look forward to building on the popular community-centric culture and outstanding customer service that the company is recognised for.”
