Jewellery chain Diamonds and Pearls has fallen into administration, putting up to 300 jobs at risk.

Myles Halley and Richard Philpott of KPMG were yesterday appointed as administrators for the 91-store chain.

The administrators are continuing to trade the stores whilst it looks for a buyer but redundancies are expected.
