Electricals retailer reports boom in demand for digital sets over past 18 months
Dixons is on track to phase out analogue TVs by 2012. The retailer said it welcomed an Ofcom statement yesterday that confirmed the switch to digital was achievable by that date.
The retailer claimed 18 months ago that one in 20 sets it sold was digital. A year ago, that figure had risen to one in 10. Today, it is one in five.
