At present, digital radios outsell their analogue counterparts by 30 to one in Dixons' stores.
The electricals retailer also revealed it was putting personal CD players and boom boxes on the 'endangered list', in response to the emerging dominance of MP3 players and iPods in the portable audio market.
Dixons, owned by DSGi, first began to sell more digital than analogue radios in 2003, following the introduction of the first digital radio for less than£100 in 2002.
A broader range of radio stations are available to digital listeners, as well as an improved sound quality and text-based services.
Branches in airports and the Republic of Ireland will continue to stock analogue receivers.
