DSGi-owned PC World will open its first store in an airport at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 in March.
The 1,720 sq ft outlet will sit alongside three newly designed Dixons Tax Free stores, each with a different proposition, at the long-awaited new terminal.
The PC World shop will provide a wide range of computing and business-oriented products, tailored to the needs of passengers. The store will also comprise a desk for Tech Guys, its computer repair service, which will give technical advice on any problems passengers may have with their existing hardware or new purchases.
DSGi Airport Retail managing director Andrew Milliken said: “The opening of the first airport PC World will enable us to better attract business passengers and support their specific needs.”
Inside T5, DSGi’s flagship Dixons Tax Free store will focus on interactivity and entertainment, offering “play tables” displaying ready-to-use products.
The second Dixons store will be smaller and focus on accessories, offering products and last-minute sales support. The third shop’s product range will be tailored to long-haul travellers.
