Iconic Dublin department store Clerys is to re-open later this month after it was forced to close for four months due to storm damage.
The shop, which will re-open on November 21, had to cease trading in July due to extensive storm damage. The retail said it has been completely restored with the support of Insurers, Allianz.
Clerys managing director Dominic Prendergast said:“Following four months of extensive refurbishment work, the 160-year old retail emporium that is Clerys, had been restored to its former glory.
“This is great news for Dublin, for our valued customers, concession partners and employees. All at Clerys look forward to welcoming customers - old and new – to our historic O’Connell Street location where, in addition to this season’s sensational Winter Wonderland, a glittering array of fashion, food and lifestyle experiences await.”
Last year OCS Operations, a subsidiary of private equity and investment company Gordon Brothers Europe, acquired Clerys from receivership.
