The AIM-listed Chinese mobile phone retailer said it plans to open a further seven outlets in Tesco hypermarkets in China in the next few weeks.
EBT Mobile chief executive Zhang Ge said: 'Tesco has an outstanding international reputation and I believe that China will become an important market for the UK retailer, following its success in other Asian markets. EBT Mobile will provide Tesco Hymall's customers with a wide choice of mobile telephone products and services, while benefiting from a cost-effective roll-out of stores within the Tesco Hymall stores.'
Tesco has acquired 90 per cent of Hymall from Chinese consumer food producer Ting Hsin in December. The retailer said it plans to increase the number of stores from 48 to 56 by February, as part of its international expansion strategy.
