Electricals etailer Ao.com has agreed a ten-year lease on a new distribution centre in Heathrow to boost its business in London.
The pure play retailer will take on the 33,500 sq ft facility at SEGRO-owned Axis Park, located off junction 5 of the M4, close to Heathrow Airport, next year.
Ao.com will use the new facility to deliver white goods to customers in and around Greater London.
The etailer’s group logistics director David Ashwell said: “We were looking for a facility from which we could distribute our range of domestic electrical appliances to our customers.
“The unit needed to have good access to motorways and transport links into the city and West London, to allow us to fulfil our customers’ orders quickly and efficiently.”
Following the Ao.com deal, Axis Park is now fully let. SEGRO has already signed up DHL, Royal Mail and Smiths News to the scheme.
