Maplin quality and sourcing director Peter Heath has left the electronics retailer after almost 20 years.
Heath took up the quality and sourcing director role in October 2012. He has previously worked as buying director and head of buying at Maplin.
Heath has joined electronics manufacturer Philex Hong Kong as executive director.
Head of commercial administration Jeremy Stacey has taken on Heath’s responsibilities in addition to his own role.
Maplin is the UK’s biggest electronics specialist with more than 200 stores in locations such as Cheltenham, Brighton and Cardiff. The retailer recently opened its first airport store with a 1,000 sq ft shop in Glasgow airport.
