French Connection and H&M have become the latest retailers to sign up for St Martins Property Group’s 800,000 sq ft (74,320 sq m) Centrale shopping centre in Croydon.
French Connection has agreed terms on a 5,305 sq ft (490 sq m) store on the Lower Mall, and H&M will trade from a two-level 19,000 sq ft (1,765 sq m) store, with frontages to the North End and Upper malls.
The two retailers will form a strong fashion line-up alongside Zara and Next, which opened in autumn last year. Mango opened a store at the beginning of this month.
Other retailers trading at Centrale include Debenhams, Nike, Aldo, Virginware, Sony Galleria, Egoshego, The Pier and Build-A-Bear Workshop.
The third phase is expected to be completed in September, with the opening of a 160,000 sq ft (14,865 sq m) House of Fraser department store.
The final element of the£100 million scheme will be in place in spring next year, with the completion of the centre’s restaurant gallery.
Joint letting agents for the centre are Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker and Dalgleish. Churston Heard acted for French Connection.
