Asda clothing brand George has launched a heat- sensitive range of baby clothes that alert parents when their baby is too hot.
The TempAlert range features technology to notify parents of increased body temperatures, which is often an early sign of illness in babies.
Each garment is fitted with a heat sensitive label and the thermometer changes colour and reveals an ‘alert’ warning when the baby’s temperature rises above normal.
George brand director Fiona Lambert said: “This revolutionary new technology will prove invaluable to new parents. We know high temperatures are a constant worry for our customers and it’s a really scary time being a new parent. With this in mind we are proud to be able to include this in our George Baby range and make it affordable and available to everyone.”
The range is in stores nationwide from today and comprises nine pieces of 100% cotton for newborns to 18-month olds. The range was first released in Wal-Mart Canada.
