- UK sales up 25%
- International sales up 20%
- Active customers up 18%
Online fashion specialist Asos posted double-digit sales growth at home and internationally in the final four months of last year.
Asos generated a 25% uplift in UK retail sales to £206.2m in the four months to December 31, 2015, the first peak period overseen by Nick Beighton following his promotion to become chief executive last September.
International revenues were ahead 20% to £240.7m.
Total group revenue climbed 23% to £459.7m.
Retail gross margin was down 40bps, partly as a result of lowering prices in overseas markets to be more competitive.
The number of active customers increased 18% to 10.7 million.
Beighton said: “We traded well through peak and are continuing to invest in the future growth of the business. We are on track with our plans for the year as a whole.
“We had record sales over cyber weekend in late November and have seen further growth in average order frequency, average basket value and number of orders, alongside an acceleration in active customer growth.”
