Online fashion giant Asos has unveiled its new dedicated sample sale website in its latest attempt to clear stock.
The new website, which can be found at asossamplesale.com, offers shoppers a range of products across both womenswear and menswear at the price of £5 per item and offers a discount of up to 90% from the original full price.
Customers are able to shop more than 2,000 products across Asos brands including its design, petite and tall ranges, as well as brands including Miss Selfridge, AsYou and Topshop.
Asos sample sale shoppers can expect to pay a standard delivery cost of £3 and returns are available for customers at a charge of £2.
The new Asos site is in partnership with Shopify and shoppers cannot use their Asos account log in to make a purchase.
The site comes after Asos said in its latest trading update that the focus is on “right-sizing of stock” to improve Asos’ balance sheet and to continue to improve profitability.
An Asos spokesperson told Retail Week: “Asos Sample Sale is a dedicated pop-up website for our UK customers to buy a selection of recent Asos fashion at sample sale prices for a limited time only, with everything available for just £5.
“This is part of our plan to right-size our stock portfolio, as announced in our full-year results last year, and gives us another route to clear stock in an effective and efficient way.”
