Boohoo has registered a “strong” Black Friday performance across the promotional weekend with key brands bolstering sales.
The online fashion retailer said since its half-year end “trading remained strong” with a record performance across the Black Friday weekend.
Its full-year outlook is “comfortably in line with market expectations” and the recently acquired brands Miss Pap, Karen Millen and Coast, now fully integrated on to the fashion platform, have been “very well received”.
The latest payment data revealed Black Friday sales advanced 16.5% by value and shoppers continued to spend on Cyber Monday across all sectors.
As Black Friday fell after pay day this year, the discounting weekend has been a welcome boost for retailers following ongoing low consumer confidence due to political uncertainty in the UK.
The fashion group will post a trading update for the four months to December 31, 2019, in January.
