Casualwear retailer Crew Clothing profits climbed by more than a quarter last year despite the challenging economic climate.
In the year to October 30 pre-tax profits rose 27% to £3.24m with turnover also increasing by 17% to £40.68m.
In documents filed at Companies House, Crew Clothing said: “The economic climate continues to be challenging, but we have produced another good year of growth despite this, adding more customers and developing our product offering more closely to our customers needs.” It added that the board is “cautiously optimistic” about the year ahead.
The retailer has more than 60 shops in the UK and opened 11 new stores last year.
The brand launched kidswear collection Crew Junior for spring 12, a range for boys and girls aged four to 11. The collection is available online and in 10 of Crew Clothing’s stores.
