Debenhams is in talks to sign up fashion designer Henry Holland to its Designers at Debenhams offer.
The department store, which is driving sales from its own-brand ranges, wants Holland to join the Designers range, which includes collections from designers including Julien Macdonald, Jaspar Conran and Betty Jackson.
Holland, who is a close friend of supermodel Agyness Deyn and best known for his 1980s-inspired slogan t-shirts, has created the fashion brand House of Holland and is a regular on the fashion circuit.
Bringing Holland on board would give Debenhams more cache among younger shoppers such as those who shop at Topshop.
A Debenhams spokesman told The Sun: “We have had a couple of meetings but it’s very early days. Nothing is signed on the dotted line yet.”
