Cornish fashion retailer Seasalt has announced the appointment of Mel Wilcox as its first chief information officer and Duncan Tennent as the brand’s new director of strategic partnerships, Retail Week can reveal.
Wilcox joins Seasalt from Specsavers, where she was global portfolio director, and will be responsbile for “shaping the future of IT services for the business and its customers”.
Reporting to chief executive Paul Hayes, Wilcox brings “a wealth of industry experience” to its management board as she previously held senior roles at retailers including Ann Summers and Tesco.
Tennent was most recently head of international at Monsoon Accessorize, after being a regional manager at Marks & Spencer, leading the international business across 27 markets.
In his new role, he will take the lead of Seasalt’s UK and international based third-party B2B and B2C “sales efforts and commercial operations”, with a focus on partnerships with department stores, online marketplaces and distributors.
Tennent will take responsibility for “ensuring people, internal processes and systems are further strengthened, appropriately scaled and designed to manage growth across different business models”.
