Frasers Group has begun consultation proceedings with employees in its design and editorial departments as part of its latest restructuring initiative.

Consultations commenced on March 7, impacting staff at both the company’s London headquarters and Shirebrook offices, according to Retail Gazette

A representative from the company confirmed that 30% of employees within the impacted teams will be affected.

The reductions are believed to mainly target recently hired personnel, while leadership positions remain secure. This redundancy initiative is part of a broader reorganisation strategy intended to optimise the company’s operational efficiency.

The consultation follows multiple previous restructuring efforts at Frasers Group. Last April, the retailer put 100 positions at risk when announcing plans to shutter its Manchester office in Trafford. A subsequent consultation during the summer affected 45 roles as the company relocated its trading digital team from London to its Shirebrook headquarters.

Frasers Group declined to provide comment.
