US fashion giant Gap’s like-for-like sales rose 4% in November but its international arm, which includes UK sales, was down 1%.
Net sales worldwide for the four week period ending November 27 were $1.51bn (£972m). Year-to-date net sales were $11.81bn (£9.71bn). Like-for-likes for the year to the same date were up 2% compared to a 5% decrease last year.
Sales at Gap and Old Navy in North America were both up 5% but Banana Republic remained flat in the region.
Gap has recently expanded into China to extend its international reach.
