Menswear brand Gieves & Hawkes has hired a new management team to drive growth with long-serving Chinese boss Ray Clacher promoted to managing director.
Clacher has helped grow its Chinese business to 112 stores.
Gieves & Hawkes has also appointed Jason Basmajian as creative director. Basmajian has been artistic director at menswear brand Brioni for the past six years.
The retailer has also drafted a new marketing director in Simon Baker, from Scottish distillers Whyte & Mackay.
Gieves & Hawkes non-executive chairman Mark Henderson said: “After an exhaustive search we are convinced that these three men are uniquely well qualified to help take Gieves & Hawkes forward both in the UK and internationally.”
Clacher added: “This is a very proud day for me. I’ve been associated with the G&H brand for over a decade. We have a tremendous challenge ahead of us but we now have a seasoned and dynamic senior management team in place, and I look forward to leading the brand to greater success.”
