Harvey Nichols has poached former Alexander McQueen regional president Julia Goddard to be its new chief executive officer.
Goddard is set to join Harvey Nichols in June, after 14 years at luxury fashion brand Alexander McQueen where she was most recently the president of the EMEA region between 2019 and 2024.
She led on boosting sales and expansion across wholesale, retail and e-concession channels in the region.
She oversaw the opening of new Alexander McQueen stores in London, Paris, Milan, Rome, Dubai, Kuwait and Qatar with a “strong focus on retail excellence” and a focus on VIP clients.
In her new role, Goddard will sit on Harvey Nichols’ management board and will report to chair Sir Dickson Poon and vice chair Pearson Poon.
Sir Dickson and Pearson Poon said: “We are delighted to welcome Julia as our new chief executive officer. Julia is a dynamic business leader with a strong track record of delivering quality growth and successfully developing and executing a ’very important customer’ clienteling strategy. Her expertise and strategic capabilities will be invaluable in delivering long-term sustainable growth for Harvey Nichols.”
Goddard said: “I am thrilled to be joining Harvey Nichols as chief executive officer. The opportunities that exist within this iconic brand fill me with excitement and enthusiasm. I very much look forward to working with the team to accelerate growth and strengthen the position of Harvey Nichols.”
